TIM WHITE
Tar & Roses is a complex red. It attacks tight and tangy with black cherry and citrus peel. There are powerful tannins in herre, but they melt at the back. Savoury and moreish.

A partnership between Don Lewis and Narelle King, this is the best of their reds and shows promise for Sangiovese in Heathcote. Bright fresh cherry aromas, liquorice and gentle earthy spices, the palate is medium-weight and built across fine savoury tannins, oak is in check; they've balanced it up nicely

CAMPBELL MATTINSON
Gutsy stuff. Nothing wimpy here, that's for sure. Packed with grippy, grainy tannin and slashed with sour, savoury, earthen flavour - this is a wine for tannin freaks and Europhiles, It's excellento. Leather, licorice, rosewater and cedarwood. Yummo

4 STARS
Great varietal character and lovely weight and depth of stone-fruits, balanced with drying, slightly bitter tannins with a good dose of acid. Nice food wine.
