2011 Tar & Roses Heathcote Tempranillo
We have successfully completed our 2011 Tempraneo events in Melbourne, Brisbane, Northern Rivers and Canberra. The response from consumers and media alike was excellent. We have had a number of positive press articles devoted to the variety and as a result interest in the wine appears to have increased. In 2010 our sales exceeded our expectations and we will be bringing our 2011 bottling forward to December 2011. This should see the wine in stores and ready for drinking in early 2012.
2010 Tar & Roses Heathcote Shiraz Release
We have recently released our 2010 T&R Heathcote Shiraz. Bottled in June 2011 the blend has settled down very nicely and we are happy that the wine is very much in keeping with the style of our previous vintages. The 2010 vintage itself, up until harvest, had been perfect with an excellent growing season of moderately warm conditions plus good spring rains. During March a number of large rain events made our picking decisions a little tricky however overall the resultant wine has not suffered and is a powerfully aromatic expression of Heathcote shiraz.
